- Renee Paquette was raised in Ontario, Canada. At the age of 19, she relocated to Los Angeles, California, to pursue a career in acting. During her time in Hollywood she appeared in several commercials and television shows, as well as music videos for Tom Green and Kelly Clarkson.
- In 2008 she returned to Canada and moved into television presenting. First working for BiteTV, she moved to The Score in 2009, presenting "Right After Wrestling" (later re-titled "Aftermath"), a Wrestling news and review show that aired immediately following
WWE's Monday Night RAW. Her co-hosts were her future WWE broadcast colleague Arda Ocal and former WWE referee Jimmy Korderas.
- In October 2012 she was signed as a broadcaster by WWE, and given the ring name Renee Young. She made her first appearances as the presenter of various online and on-demand content. In January 2013 she started appearing as a backstage interviewer in WWE's developmental brand NXT, stepping up to an announcing position there in September.
- In March 2013 she made her debut conducting interviews on the main roster, and by the end of the year had established herself as the main backstage interviewer for RAW and SmackDown, as well as the host of Pay-Per-View pre-shows. In July 2014 she became colour commentator for "WWE Superstars".
